December, 2010:

After a culmination of experience gained working as an Administrative and Executive Assistant for more than 15 years in several healthcare organizations and departments, Debbie Macaulay was promoted to  Program Coordinator in December 2010.   The Program Coordinator role is a precursor to Project Management.  With the support of her manager, she was able to leverage skills that she honed organizing and coordinating projects and tasks as an administrative assistant to successfully transition into a new role. The program she currently works for is in Information Services in the eQuest department (aka Information Technology/IT) where multiple projects across all member hospitals are managed.  She is able to utilize the leadership skills gained as an officer in MAHAP to coordinate and communicate with Project Managers, executive leaders, clinical and technical staff, and of course, administrative assistants!
